My Y is Every Y
AWAY Program – “Always Welcome at YMCAs”
When you travel do you have problems continuing your workout? The YMCA AWAY program can help… Another benefit of your membership!
AWAY means “Always Welcome at YMCAs.” The AWAY program is based on the philosophy that when a person enrolls in a YMCA, he or she becomes a member of a nationwide association with a cause for strengthening communities, and, therefore, when away from home, on business or vacation, will be warmly welcomed by all other participating YMCAs in the United States.
Because a YMCA’s participation in this program is voluntary, some restrictions may apply. If you are planning to visit another YMCA, please call that YMCA for its visitor policies before you go. You may also go to www.ymca.net, and conduct a “Find Your YMCA” search or download the Y Finder iPhone App to check on AWAY program participation.
Greatest Membership Benefit
With the Y, you’re not just a member of a facility, your’re a part of a cause. With a shared commitment to nurturing the potential of kids, improving health and well-being, giving back and supporting our neighbors, your membership will not just bring about a meaningful change in yourself, but in your community too.
