Safety Certifications
CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and Health Care Provider
Purpose of this course is to teach those with a duty to act (professional rescuers) the skills needed to respond appropriately to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This includes the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) to care for a victim of cardiac arrest.
Certificate Issued and Validity Period
Participants who successfully complete the course have the choice of one of the following certificates:
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and the Healthcare Provider: 2 years
- CPR/AED for the Healthcare Provider: 2 years

- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer: 2 years

Standard First Aid
This certification provides people with the knowledge and skills necessary in an emergency situation, to help keep someone alive, to reduce pain, and to minimize the consequences of injury until professional medical help arrives. The class fee includes textbook and first aid kit. Certification is good for 3 years.
Dates: January 19, February 16, March 15, April 19, May 17
Class Times: 7:00-10:00 p.m.

Lifeguard Training
A cognitive and psychomotor overview of the skills and knowledge needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies in confined, and non-surf open, water environments. Includes certification training in CPR and First Aid. Minimum age of 15 years.

Weekend Class Times:
Friday: 6 pm – 10 pm
Saturday: 5 am – 5 pm

Note: Books must be downloaded from Redcross.org onto a laptop or electronic notebook. Breaks will be given though out the weekend and a 1 hour lunch break on Sat.& Sun. Bring towel, bathing suit, and lock for locker each day, along with you electronic book.
Lifeguard Re-Certs: October 16, April 15 or May 20 from 5 am-12 pm Cost $65
Water Safety Instructor (WSI)
Application of theories of learning, teaching and conducting an American Red Cross Infant to Preschool Aquatic Programs, Progressive Learn to Swim class and Community Water Safety.
Must be 16 years of age
