MIND AND BODY CLASSES
Pilates
Based on the teachings of Joseph Pilates, this class incorporates the basic Pilates moves and teaches the proper form and execution of those moves in a relaxed and comprehensive manner. Improve your posture, strengthen your back and abdominal muscles, increase flexibility, prevent stress and back pain, tone muscles, and sharpen your mind/body connection. Simultaneous stretching & strengthening in a non-impact balanced system of body/mind exercise works the deeper muscles to achieve efficient and graceful movement, improve alignment and breathing, and increase body awareness. Please note: For your safety, we request that participants attend the Beginner Pilates as a prerequisite to the Intermediate/Advanced class.
Hatha Yoga Basics
A variety of relaxing stretches and poses that refresh, strengthen, and energize the body, and promote whole-body fitness and awareness. Slightly slower paced than Power Yoga, Hatha Yoga emphasizes alignment, breath, balance, and precision in postures. This class is light-hearted and works to fully connect mind/body during each pose and link movement with breath. It is suitable for beginning and advanced students alike.
Sunrise Yoga Stretch
This class is based on gentle Yoga and incorporates strength and stretching as well as proper breathing techniques to provide an overall feeling of wellness and balance – a wonderful way to start your day!
Ashtanga Yoga Flow New!
This 90-minute class is based on the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. The primary series follows a specified flow of classic poses, designed to heat the body to safely stretch and strengthen with a strong emphasis on breath.
YogaFit® New!
YogaFit® is designed to improve the health, performance, and mental acuity of athletes or individuals interested in improving their level of fitness. Based on acient fitness science of hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit delivers a practical, user-friendly style which is accessible, understandable and doable by individuals at any level of fitness. The YogaFit style reduces the risk of injury and augments recovery for ailments including stress, lower back pain and tension. YogaFit is taught by YogaFit certified staff.
