HELP SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL YMCA!
The Grand Forks YMCA Family Center has been serving youth and families in the community for over 130years. Our success in meeting the changing community needs within the Grand Cities area is due to the generosity of donors and volunteers like you, who want to get involved and give back to others within the community.
HOW TO GIVE. . . .
Partner of Youth Scholarship Campaign
The annual YMCA Partner of Youth Scholarship Campaign enables us to provide youth with life-enriching activities and programs that may not exist for them otherwise. Every dollar donated to the scholarship campaign is utilized to make a difference in a child’s life. To help ensure that no youth is denied a chance to participate because of inability to pay, we truly need your help.
Each year, the YMCA Family Center receives requests for over $100,000 in program and membership scholarships. Last year we were able to provide scholarship assistance to over 2,500 families in the Grand Cities area. The scholarship dollars raised helped to provide child care, swimming lessons, day camping, youth sports, mentors for youth, and YMCA membership opportunities for youth in need. Your contribution can provide lifelong experiences, opportunities for growth and development, value enhancement, a safe & healthy environment with caring adults, confidence and self-esteem building, positive friendships and a chance to have some fun!
Planned Giving
The Grand Forks YMCA Foundation was established to offer individuals who believe in the mission of the YMCA, “To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all,” an opportunity to perpetuate YMCA programs and membership opportunities. Your gift can create a lasting legacy that will touch the lives of youth and families for generations to come. The interest earned from the YMCA Foundation is utilized each year to support program needs and expansion, facility enhancements and staff development.
Honors/Memorials
Gifts to the YMCA in honor or memory of loved ones provide a living remembrance as recognized on our Memorial Board. A gift can be given to support a specific program, purchase new equipment, or be left open to the discretion of the YMCA leadership to be utilized in meeting the greatest need in supporting youth and families.
